When it comes to primary bedrooms, I see a few common problems that are actually pretty simple to solve. Here’s what I see and and what I recommend:

▪️ The feeling that a space "falls flat" – A bedroom should feel like 𝘺𝘰𝘶. The way you like to unwind after a long day. How you get dressed in the mornings. The calming hues you love. The key is to bring in some real soul — I love incorporating in personal touches like unique furniture, art, and a color palette that feels true to your style.

▪️ Unbalanced layout – Even the prettiest bedroom can feel off if the layout isn’t just right. I suggest arranging furniture and creating zones that make the space flow better, so it feels cozy and inviting. This change is fairly doable with some research on layout options!

▪️ Poor lighting – Lighting can make or break a bedroom’s atmosphere. I always recommend layered lighting with options for ambiance, task lighting, and accent lighting, so you can set the mood perfectly. Notice how I have a variety in this example, and no overhead ceiling lights! The key here was a warm glow rather than harsh or unflattering overheads.
